Trends Topping the Fall 2015 NYFW Runways
The shows are almost all over, and if there is one common trend from the NYFW tents, it's that designers are still loving that seventies style. I get it! That decade was super sexy and has a lot of unique aspects to re-reference right now.
So, you might ask, what, in particular, were the big statements from the shows? Here's what I thought was groovy:
Deep décolletages, fur (so much FOX for Fall 2015!), fabrics that move, loooong (floor sweeping) skirts and dresses, Victorian blouses, romantic florals and lace were all style stars.
And even those who weren't exactly 'designing for the decade' changed things up spectacularly. Like Jason Wu, wowing with cozy separates that exuded a sporty glamour; and even Victoria Beckham taking a break from her body-con signature to calm things down a bit... albeit going asymmetrical, incorporating menswear elements, and showing pieces with more volume.
Anticipate next Fall's color palette to range from gray, ivory, navy and black, to pops of crimson and other spice-market inspired colors. Bright blues will also be popular shades.
You heard it here... so come get it here! But now that we know what's on the horizon for next Fall, let's get excited about this Spring!
